Geshe Thupten Norbu

Introduction to Faobao Geshe∥:  Faobao Geshe from Sera Jey Buddhist College in southern India, also known as Geshe Laranba Thubten Norbu. Born in Lhasa, Tibet in 1974. Enrolled in Lhasa Primary School in 1981 (next to Jokhang Temple). Enrolled in Lhasa Middle School in 1987 (behind the Potala Palace). In the third grade of middle school in 1991, in order to learn Buddhism, risking his life, he walked over the uninhabited snowy mountains with the crowd, and came to the Buddhist College of Sera Jey Monastery in southern India. Ordained by Guru Thubenzhaxi Geshe,followed many good knowledge systems and completely learned five major courses: Yinming(Buddhist logic), Abhisamaya, Madhyamaka, Abdhidhammakusa, Buddhist Discipline... and so on. After more than 20 years of diligent and unremitting efforts, he successfully passed the three major temple Gelugpa exams.

Won the first-class Geshe Laranba degree in 2011. During this period, he received the novice ordination from Chodian Rinpoche, received bhikkhu ordination from His Holiness the Dalai Lama, and received the special empowerments and Dharma lineages from Guru Skaya tradition, 104 Ganden Tri Rinpoche, Seraje Kansor Rinpoche, Losang Tsering etc.. Entered the Gyudmed Tantric University in 2012 to study the Vajra Tantra course.

From 2014 to 2017, he was sent to Thailand, Indonesia, Taiwan and other places to preach the Dharma. After 3 years in 2017, he personally continues to come to Taiwan to learn Chinese, to teach the Dharma Science Collection, etc., to benefit students with compassion, and to join the Taiwan International Tibetan Buddhism Research Association(TITBRA) as a member in 2020, are now is teaching different courses like the great path to enlightenment to promote Dharma and benefit students.
