Master Jingyao writing a legendary story and become monk half way through in the 43rd year of theRepublic of China, a boy named Xu Minghui was born in a small village by these a in Yizhu Township, Chiayi County. As a kid, he was very mischievous and his teenage years were wild and absurd. But when he was serving in the army, he suddenly came to a realization and pledged to be a successful person who carries the sun and the moon on his shoulders, who twists the world with his hands and stand among the top ten entrepreneurs in the world. However, at the age of 26, due to a serious car accident, he was in a thrilling moment of life and death. In those moments, he began to rethink about the meaning of life and then put aside fame and wealth to become aBuddhist practitioner. At the age of 28, the old monk of Guanghua ordained him and gave him the ordained name Shi Jingyao. The way to practice was open for him.
Strangely, when he quit his job as a journalist to become a monk, the old monk Guanghua did not agree immediately saying that journalists do a lot of sinful work and he had to worship the Eighty-eight Buddha Great Confession Writings ten thousands times before he is allowed to become a monk. He was determined to practice and seek the truth in dharma. Beside worshiping Eighty-eight Buddhas, he did all the services in the temple, pus the ten thousands times of worship he was asked to do, he worshiped forty thousands times himself. Finally he gained the recognition of the old monk Guanghua and ordained him. In 1984, due to the karma he would study andresearch Buddhist scriptures with Master Yinshun. He received the dharma teachings from Master Hsing Yun and Elder Yuanzong in the year 2013 and 2014 respectively.

My introduction; I graduated from the Faculty of Law, National Taiwan University in 1979 and served in the Appeal Committee of the Ministry of Economic Affairs. When I was a student, I was wrestling with the problems of the universe, birth, old age, sickness and death in the world, and as a result I was able to think and explore in various ways. In 1996, I started the learning journey of Mahayana Buddhism. I eagerly studied all the sutras related to bodhicitta and the path of liberation without any sectarian preferences. And also because of my liking for sitting in meditation, I have participated in the Zen Retreat in the temple many times. Since 2005, I have been studying Tibetan Buddhism with the guidance from Tsering Rinpoche of Banruo Ling. In 2009, I was lucky to get the chance to help the Master in establishing the “International Tibetan Buddhism Research Association” and serve as the first chairman of the board. Later, I also worked in the Banruo Forest Xinchu Centre for a long time and was a meditation teacher as well. I was leading the seminars of the book club and assisting in charity activities.
