As the Mahasiddha Anyag Dawa's prophecy, The 4th Khorzang Hashen Ngawang Ngudup or Dakpa Ngawang Choechog was born in a village called Chudha in Tagtse Dzong in 1975. His father's name was Kelsang Namgyal and his mother's name was Tenzin Choesang. At the age 13, he went to the Great Learning Center of Thakchen Ling Sermad Dratsang to complete his studies of five volumes of teachings. 

In 2008, he finished the examinations of six-year program at Gedan Luksang Institute and in the same year he received the distinction among the gold medalist in Geshelharampa examinations. He spent one year at Gyudo Dratsang to study tantra texts from 2009 to 2010 and finished his tantra examinations with the first position in that batch again. 

To sum up, he has sought more than 30 teachers to learn and study Buddhist teachings of sutras and tantras through empowerment, transmissions, instructions and explanations. He has been not only learning the texts but also practicing them in his day-to-day life. Now he is working towards the preservation of the dharma through teaching, writing and discussions.
