International Tri-Buddhism Tradition Conference

Leading by the team of Taiwan International Tibetan Buddhism Study Institute, the "International Tri-Buddhist Traditions Conference" is being organised once in every few year. This Conference invites principal members of Tri-Buddhist traditions; namely, Tibetan Buddhist tradition, Chinese Buddhist tradition and Southern Buddhist tradition, to get together at one place to openly share their perspectives on various issues concerning the wellbeing of Buddhist communities and dharma practices. The first ever "International Tri-Buddhist Traditions Conference" was held in the International Hall of Taiwan Teachers Training University in Taipei. That was a historical event in the history of Tibetan Buddhism.
To have invited important figures from Tri-Buddhist traditions to discuss about respective situations the traditions moving forward. In 2011, the Conference was historically started and four of them have been successfully held until now. Representatives of not only Tibetan Buddhism but also from Sri Lanka, Thailand and other Buddhist countries, come together at the Conference to make it diverse, international and valuable. The themes of the Conference are as usual; how to get rid of the narrow mind of regionalism within Buddhist communities across the globe by thinking more about the common good of Buddhism; how to preserve, promote and nurture Buddhist traditions, ideas and teachings to meet the needs of international communities.
Through the conference, we have been making significant impact on our  friends around the world to be innovative and creative in their works of preserving, promoting and nurturing Buddhist teachings and values. Most importantly, we have set the good example of practicing the religious harmony and inter-traditional friendship.
